The system can manage and record images from fixed or PTZ cameras and the images can also be viewed live both on site and offsite depending on the communications available. SimCam operates very effectively using mobile phone networks for remote access and can also use ISDN or broadband if available. Multiple cameras can be viewed using wireless site communications. No cables mean quicker installation, lower cost and greater security.

The wireless links that remove the need for cabling between cameras and the recorder. There are many situations where this makes the SimCam system ideal. The retro fitting of conventional CCTV to large car parks on retail parks for instance is impractical in most cases due to the civil works costs of ducts and cables. The SimCam system now makes this easy.

SimCam works particularly well in conjunction with SimAlarm and is frequently deployed on construction and building sites. The combined services provide pinpoint video recording with much greater success in capturing images that are required. Archive retrieval is quick and easy. With even modest background lighting levels high quality images can be achieved leading to valuable evidence.
